Welcome to the PTO!
We welcome your presence at our meetings and events throughout the year. Not only will you find out more about your school, but you too will have a voice in shaping its future and creating fun, memorable events for your children.
Meeting and event notices from the PTO are sent via email and posted on Bloomz. Every parent is invited to participate in PTO events, volunteer to chair or be part of a committee and attend meetings, parent and family socials—such as the popular Pastries with Parents and Family Movie Nights.
While the PTO works to build and celebrate the A. Fantis community, it also serves as a fundraising organization for the school. In addition to contributing annually to the Teachers’ Equipment Fund and subsidizing extra-curricular faculty, the PTO has been able to contribute substantially to recent renovations, including the rooftop playground, a new heating system, student bathroom and the Greek Language classroom. Equipment purchases include new wardrobes for the school drama and dance costumes, drums for the student drumline, and classroom supplies for the Billion Oyster Project. At present the PTO is working on a Capital Campaign for the re-design and construction of the school’s 2nd floor multipurpose space.
Through its various fundraising activities, the PTO is also able to host several student celebrations throughout the year that mark major festivals in our school calendar. For more information about volunteering and contributing, please email the PTO (firstname.lastname@example.org).
