The A. Fantis admissions process is simple and streamlined. The Early Admissions Cycle, which ends in November, is strongly recommended as spaces are limited in many classes and the waitlist grows quickly. Download our Application Checklist to guide you through the process.
Step 1 - Visit Fantis
Step 2 - Apply Online
Step 3 - Family Visit and Buddy Day
- The Family Visit allows parents and their children to meet the principal and share more information, before heading to the classroom to meet the teachers. The Buddy Day allows children to spend some time in the classroom with their families. These are often scheduled together.
- Buddy Day: Student spends the day in the classroom paired with a classroom ambassador to experience school life. Students also take grade level benchmark assessments in English and math. Please note more than one Buddy Day may be required to complete the application process. PK3 applicants spend about 30 minutes in the classroom with their families.
Step 4 - Submit Application Materials
To complete your application, families submit the confidential teacher recommendation, transcript request and, if applicable, the IEP or 504 plan. Middle school students submit an essay.
Notifications of acceptance into our program will be provided by the dates listed below for early and regular admission cycles.
In order to hold your child’s seat, the deposit and enrollment agreement are required within 10 business days of notification.
Parents must also provide the child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate (K-8 only), and health form, as well as enroll in our Tuition Management System.

A. Fantis UPK
Seats for the A. Fantis UPK are extremely limited, as current A. Fantis PK3 students and siblings have a guaranteed placement in the program. With over five applicants for every seat, the remaining spots are determined by the PreK For All lottery selection—not by the school. The application window is typically from January to March. Families interested in our UPK program for four year olds should visit the PreK For All website for complete information. Please note that the waitlist is typically very long. If seats become available, the next students on our UPK waitlist will be contacted.
